Paper Lamps
These paper lamps appeal to me because they create a quiet and gentle atmosphere, transforming simple materials into something warm and luminous. Each lamp is made with handmade paper, often incorporating pressed leaves and plant forms that bring a small piece of the natural world into the work.
I am drawn to the beauty of light passing through paper. When illuminated, the fibers, textures, and embedded botanical forms become visible in new ways, revealing delicate details that are often hidden in daylight.
My inspiration comes in part from Japanese paper traditions, where handmade paper has been valued for centuries for its strength, beauty, and ability to soften light. I hope these lamps bring a sense of calm, warmth, and quiet reflection to the spaces they inhabit.
